In Belfast we are spoilt for choice with so many great restaurants, hotels, live music venues and nightclubs to celebrate a special occasion. But for many New Year’s Eve is the most special of them all and must be celebrated in style.
We’ve found some iconic events throughout the city of Belfast to help you remember the year just past and look to the future of what 2016 will bring.
Governor’s Ball at Crumlin Road Gaol
Not a ball and chain in sight at the Gaol this New Year but the Governor’s Ball will prove a very entertaining evening with a four course dinner, guest DJ and plenty of dancing. If you’re very good they might just let you out at the end of the night.
The Beautiful & Damned at The MAC
An evening inspired by the F Scott Fitzgerald classic The Beautiful & Damned, celebrate the New Year in Style at the MAC with a Jazz party and New York gin palace, vintage cocktails and DJs and a late night live band.
Terri Hooley’s New Year’s Eve Hootenany
Terri is Mr Music in Belfast and what would be a better way than to celebrate the New Year with Terri and a host of guests including DJs Stuart Bailie and Ian Morrison.
Black Tie Gala Ball at the Europa
Nothing will usher in the new year with more style than a Champagne reception followed by a five course dinner at the Europa Hotel, guests include a Dolly Parton Tribute and of course a piper at midnight.
Meltdown: Hells Bells NYE 2015
If black tie isn’t your thing you might rather let your hair down at Queen’s University Belfast’s Students’ Union for Belfast’s biggest rock-metal new year countdown.
Whatever you’ve planned for New Years Eve have a great time and stay safe.
