Bank holiday events in Northern Ireland

28/05/2016

The weather’s looking excellent for the weekend so what can you get up to out and about around the province this weekend.  Here’s a few ideas.

Belfast Spring Continental Market

Sample a range of tasty local produce as well as foods from around Europe as part of the Northern Ireland Year of Food celebrations.  Choose from Greek cheese, currywurst sausages or Dutch pancakes as well as lots of other delights from all across the continent.

The market is open until 10pm on Saturday, from 1pm – 6pm on Sunday and 10am to 6pm on Monday.

Cloth Ear Chilli Festival

Looking to spice up your bank holiday?  Come along to the first ever Chilli Festival taking place on Saturday and Sunday at The Cloth Ear.  Sizzling favourites includes Chilli Chicken Wing Roulette with one wing doused with extra hot hot sauce.

Prizes and competitions will run throughout the weekend and there will be live music on Sunday from 5pm to 8pm.

Gruffalo Hunt at Colin Glen Forest Park

Join the Gruffalo hunt at Colin Glen Forest Park this spring bank holiday, Monday 30th May.  Events include story-telling, arts and crafts and a meander through the forest in search of the Gruffalo.

Starting at 10am and sessions throughout the day.
